Located in Sunshine West, a privately owned container transport company is growing and requires an experienced Transport Coordinator to manage a fleet of up to 20 trucks/trailers.  The major responsibility of the role is to coordinate the daily FCL movements and support drivers in the delivery of quality customer service.

The key responsibilities include:

• Booking timeslots for Patrick, DP and VICT;
• Coordinating pick up, deliveries and empty collections to ensure full utilisation of equipment;
• Coordinating equipment including A doubles and sideloaders;
• Complete next day pre allocated bookings.

Once the successful candidate has learnt the operation, there is the opportunity to progress to Transport Planner.

The ideal background and experience for this position is:

• At least one to two years’ experience in container transport;
• Must have experience using 1-Stop;
• Knowledge of equipment such as sideloaders and A doubles;
• Experience with FCL scheduling local deliveries;
• Knowledge of COR, Fatigue and MASS Management.

The operation is paperless, once jobs are allocated they are dropped on the drivers phone via an APP. They use 1-Stop, Containerchain and TMS Freight Tracker.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4.30 pm with a rotating roster of Saturday work (3-4 hours) which includes booking slots for Sunday.  As the company continues to grow, it is expected that the successful candidate will progress to Transport Manager over the next 1-2 years.
